If you have spent 5 minutes on Pinterest you'll know that weddings are all about details. Right?I
Hrm. Who am I, and what have I done with morgs...
If you've followed my work for any length of time you'll understand that I'm all about people and moments. Of course, I'll photograph the details, they're important too... but there's so much brouhaha surrounding chair covers and table settings and shoes and flowers and faaaaaar out it's almost endless!
Well... when I was photographing Holly and David (Kempy) I realised that it's not as clear cut as that. I realised that I don't really care too much about the details until they're your details.
This wedding was particularly wonderful. It was held at Holly's parents property about ten minutes inland from Noosa Heads, and in the weeks prior to the wedding it went through a transformation, the likes of which this photographer has not seen at any wedding venue EVER. The whole family was involved in decking out the house, and the end result was nothing short of amazing, but it was still the family home. Nothing was there 'just because', it was a personal decision and that's what made it all special.
So... enjoy the photographs, and remember that even though I'm people before details, I will photograph them until the cows come home. Because I'm not just photographing mason jars or table settings. I'm photographing the time and effort that you spent styling your wedding, so really I'm photographing people.
